WELCOME
WELCOME This is the first in a series of
newsletters shared with all Rotary Club members in District 6150 as we focus
this year to Reach Within to Embrace Humanity.
THANKS TO ALL Phyllis and I would like to
take this opportunity to thank all of you for your warm welcome. Thanks to those of you who attended the installation
banquet. It was special to have so many
of you there. The enthusiasm,
fellowship, eagerness, and excitement that have already been shown to us will
be the forces that drive this district to another successful year.

DISTRICT GOVERNOR OFFICIAL VISITS
The district governor is required by Rotary International
to visit each club in the district. The
official visit is an opportunity to ask for guidance with challenges and
success facing your club.
The
purpose of the official visit is to:
- Focus attention on important Rotary issues.
- Provide needed attention to weak or
struggling clubs.
- Motivate Rotarians to participate in service
activities.
- Recognize the outstanding contributions of
Rotarians in the district.
To
prepare for the official visit, the club president should:
- Announce and publicize the visit well in
advance to your fellow club members.
- Arrange for the official visit to coincide
with an important club-wide event.
- Review your club’s plans for the year and be
prepared to discuss them.

DISTRICT MEMBERSHIP GOAL - NET 200 NEW MEMBERS
MEMBERSHIP
– IT’S ABOUT RETENTION
At a
glance:
- The
problem: stagnant
membership in Rotary, particularly in North America.
Why?
- The
opportunity:positive brand allows strong recruiting numbers.
- The
negative: high dropout
rate, especially among newer members.
- The
reason: members aren’t
getting what they want out of Rotary.
