ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ Pub Club will meet at Red Seven on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.  All are welcome.

♦ Euchre at the KELLEYS this Saturday, August 15th at 6:00.  Bring a snack to share and your beverage of choice.  Contact LETA if you can join the fun.

♦ Backpack:  Our first delivery of food is set for August 20, 2015 at school @ 9:30am.   Our first packing will be September 3, 2015.  Our first distribution will be September 4, 2015.  Volunteers are needed.  Please sign up on the bulletin board of contact BECKY ROBLEDO.

♦ The term “Club Assembly” has been renamed “Rotary Spotlight Meetings”.  And watch for Birthday Table to be moved to the last Tuesday of the month to ease timing issues when there are Student Guests, birthdays to announce, and sometimes new members to introduce.

♦ Please use signupgenius to volunteer for helping at the back of the room.  We need money takers, greeters and raffle ticket sellers.

♦ 50/50 RAFFLE:  CECIL BLIGNAUT was the owner of the winning ticket.   Unfortunately, the Aces eluded him.  Better luck next time!

BIRTHDAY TABLE:
HARRIET COPPOC, November Birthday Table Chair, introduced  members celebrating another year and announced that so far, $2,572.00 has been contributed to our foundations.  We sang Happy Birthday to thank this generous group!

CONGRATULATIONS:

PRESIDENT JO presented the Rotarian of the Year award to DAVE LUHMAN. Dave LuhmanA member of our Club since 1983, he served as president during 1996 -1997. He has done considerable behind-the-scenes work over the past few years, include helping us with the legal documents for incorporation and other legal counsel whenever needed. He served as a member and president of the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation Board. He is a member of the governance committee and agreed to chair the committee starting July 1. Not only that, but he's a terrific percussionist and song leader.
