Today the recipients of the Community College Scholarships were introduced and were able to say some words of appreciation to the Club. They each brought a guest with them to share the experience. This year eight scholarships were given in the amount of $1000 each. All of the students attend Ivy Tech and Andrew Antonio, Executive Director of Diversity and Engagement was in attendance to represent the school. The recipients were: Coleen Gabhart, Brittany Taylor, Rebecca Immel, Riley Moore, Shayna Foster, Julianne Fortney, Sean Foley and Chiboukem Kalu. Their interests are many and varied including: agriculture, dental assisting, chemical technology, business, nursing, teaching, network infrastructure and aviation.

The committee that selected the awardees is comprised of JOHN BARRETT, CAROLINE BRIGGS, CHRISTINE BURR, FLOYD GARROTT, SANGITA HANDA, JEAN JACKSON, LETA KELLEY, KIM MOTULIAK, MARIELLEN NEUDECK, ELDON ORTMAN, RHONDA OVERMAN, TOM PEARSON, STEVE PENNELL, GEORGE RAMSEY and DENNIS SAVIANO with PATTI TRUITT as the committee chair. They worked hard to select the most deserving students from a large set of applicants. It was inspiring to hear the stories of the students and some of the life obstacles they have overcome. Congratulations to each of them and best wishes for future success.
