SERVICE ABOVE SELF:

We have many opportunities to serve our community. 

On April 22nd we will be sprucing up Lommel Park in West Lafayette.  This park is in Bar Barry Heights near Wilshire & Essex. 9:00 – noon.  Bring gloves.  Let RHONDA OVERMAN know if you can help.

On April 29th, Tree Lafayette is working to install trees.  Meet at Walt’s Other Pub, 3001 South Ninth Street at 9:00 am.  Let SAM BEIDERSTEDT know if you can help.
On June 13th another Blood Drive will be held.  Thanks again to those who donated in March!

JIM DIMITROFF is our newest member, sponsored by BECKY ROBLEDO.Jim DimitroffJIM is Vice President / Client Advisor with Old National Wealth Management.
 Jim and his wife of 37 years Jeanette, live on the north side of Indianapolis and they have four children.  Jim has worked in wealth management for more than 35 years.  In his role as client advisor for Old National Wealth Management, Jim is responsible for advising both high net worth individuals and institutions on wealth accumulation, growth and protection.  Jim's previous experience working for a large financial institution and later for a smaller community bank provided  him with a strong foundation for working with clients in the Lafayette marketplace.  He has a special passion for advising business owners on estate and succession planning as well as advising them on enhancing the success of their employee retirement plan and managing fiduciary liability.  Jim earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with a minor in economics from Indiana State University.

WELL DONE, ROTARIANS!
< /br>On Saturday, Volunteer & Beer April 8th, our first Volunteer and Beer event was held with JO WADE and CHRISTINE BURR organizing a painting effort at The Farm at Prophetstown. Volunteer & BeerSUSAN HYCHKA and Steve, JIM KLUSMAN and Nancy, and BOB STOLZ helped give a garage building a new coat of white paint. Some social time was enjoyed at Nine Irish Brothers after all the hard work.

On Saturday, April 15th, a hard-working group of Rotarians and teachers from Miami School Miami School Workers came together to install a Gaga pit for the school children to be able to play a certain form of dodge ball.MARTI GUTWEIN organzied the event and JACK KELLEYMiami School Workers acted as project manager. The task was completed in record time and students are already using this new playground area! Workers: JOHN BARRETT, ROB GALBRAITH, JIM KLUSMAN, RYAN MCLAUGHLIN, JOEL RASMUS, JOHN SCHNEIDER, and LIZ SOLBERG. Even GAIL BRICKLER’s son and friend got in on the act. Thanks to SANGITA HANDA and MARIELLEN NEUDECK for providing food for the group.
