♦ Pub Club will meet on Wed at Spurlock’s 721 Main Street.

♦ The Purdue Rotaract Club is selling cookie dough in 2-lb containers for $10.  Flavors are: Sugar Delight, Classic Chocolate Chunk, White Chip Macadamia Nut, Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Oatmeal Raisin, and Snickerdoodle. An order form will be at the back table on Tuesday.  Delivery should occur in early April at a Rotary meeting.  Let’s help out these young people who are trying to demonstrate Rotary ideals on Purdue campus.

♦ Rotarians will gather for a night of euchre on March 4th.  Let LETA KELLEY know if you plan to join in the fun at their house.  Time:  6:30.  Bring your beverage of choice and an appetizer.


OPEN WORLD DINNER:

An Open World delegation from Azerbaijan is coming to West Lafayette.  They are hosted by the Rotary Club of Bedford, IN, but will stay here one night.  On March 8th you may join the Open World delegation for supper at Westminster Pub at 6:30.  Order off the menu.  Let Renee know if you would like to attend.

WELCOME TO NEW MEMBER:
BOB VERPLANK introduced our newest member, JIM HANKINS. A brief bio about JIM: I was born in Rensselaer, Indiana.Jim HankinsI came to Lafayette when I was about seven years old. I attended Highland Elementary, Jefferson High School and graduated from Purdue with a degree in agronomy-crops.  I served two years in the US Army rank of Sergeant, E5.  I have one brother and two sisters all graduates of Purdue.  My first job was with Quaker Oats in their grain department. My next position was with Eli Lilly in the Elanco Animal Health division.  With Elanco I worked in sales, marketing as a manager and district manager.  One year I worked with Lilly in their international division with responsibilities in Europe.   Retired in 1993 after 27 years with Lilly.
I have 4 children, 10 grandchildren and one great-grand daughter.  My wife is Patricia Mitchell Blue Hankins. After my retirement from Lilly, I lived for some time in South Carolina and Georgia.  I am now happy to be back home…home is where the heart is.
