MEET OUR NEWEST MEMBERS:
John Meyers.  I am happy to be re-joining the Club.  John Meyers Ten years ago I had to withdraw just as I was named to the Board of Directors, as I accepted a position out of town.  After 40 years or so as a prosecutor, retirement has hit me.  The downside is that I don't play golf.  A friend tells me that Indiana statutes require that retirees play golf.
I have two children and four young grandchildren.  I have lived in this area since 1975.  Evansville is my hometown.  My undergraduate school was IU and law school was Georgetown University.  I served three terms as our elected Prosecuting Attorney and was an adjunct instructor at PU for ten years.  For a time, I was active in politics and served as the Republican County Chairman.  Right now, I am enjoying just wasting time on nothing important and not wearing a tie every day.

Tadd Whallon recently took over as the Executive Director of the Home with Hope.Tadd WhallonAn active member of the recovery community, Tadd graduated from Purdue University with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2007, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Addictions from Indiana University. Tadd has worked within the field of addictions for 15 years in various roles at organizations such as New Directions, Fairbanks, and Tara Treatment Center among others. He was one of 38 individuals nationally selected to participate in the Advanced Leadership Institute for emerging leaders in the field of addictions. During this 10 month institute, Tadd worked with the Office of National Drug Control Policy on issues around prison reentry reform. To date, he is the only graduate from the Advanced Leadership Academy from Indiana.
Tadd currently lives in Avon with his wife of 13 years, his 11 year old son and 9 year old daughter. His future plans are to move back to Cass County, where much of his family lives and works for the family business, Whallon Machinery. After 14 years of living in the city, he looks forward to returning to rural living where he can spend time camping, hunting and fishing. In addition to his work within the addictions field, Tadd has been active coaching football and wrestling for the past 4 years. He hopes to continue his coaching endeavors within his hometown school of Pioneer.
