TODD SCHOLARSHIP:

JIM KLUSMAN shared the following:
Many of you will remember Patrick Ongom, who recently completed his Ph.D. at Purdue.  Patrick studied under a Todd Global Grant Scholarship and he has returned to Africa to conduct research in agronomy.
The scholarship is endowed at The Rotary Foundation as the result of a bequest from the estate of Robert and Alice Todd who were Fountain County farmers.  Robert became a Rotarian when he moved to Attica in 1946.  The Foundation decided to establish the Todd Scholarship Endowment, which has evolved into a Global Grant Scholarship and which may be awarded to a local student wishing to study abroad or a foreign student who wishes to study at Purdue. SUZANN SHACKLETON of Attica-Williamsport asked if our club would agree to be named as the successor administrator and the Board agreed to do so. The amount available for scholarships at the time of the report was almost $22,000.
If you have an interest in chairing this committee, please inform JOEL RASMUS.
