BRIAN BITTNER, president of LRCF, recalled that our foundation started in 1973. The sale of a major asset, Rotary Park, took place in 1976 and the $25,000 realized from that sale was placed in an endowment to provide camperships for young people in our community. In 2012, LRCF placed a major portion of the assets in the Community Foundation of Greater Lafayette.
