OPPORTUNITY AT MIAMI SCHOOL:

Who or What is Gaga? Gaga is a fast paced, high energy sport played in an octagonal pit. The more players, the better! Dubbed a kinder, gentler version of dodge ball, the game is played with a soft foam ball, and combines the skills of dodging, striking, running, and jumping, while trying to hit opponents with a ball below the knees.
Rotary has an opportunity to expand our involvement with Miami School, the same elementary school where we sponsor the backpacks. The principal has requested a Gaga Pit for their playground. Estimated cost is between $800-$1200. We have plans, but need construction expertise. Can you help? Contact MARTI GUTWEIN or RHONDA OVERMAN, Local Projects Committee.

HONORING VETERANS:
DAVE LUHMAN invited members of the different armed services to stand and be honored by their fellow Rotarians.  A good number of those in attendance were recognized in this way.  We thank you for your service.
