♦ Pub Club will meet at Red Seven on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

♦ On Wed, Sept 7th, meet at the home of JANE TURNER.  Lemonade and snack provided.  Bring you’re a bottle of your favorite wine if you like.

♦ We are starting our ninth year of providing backpacks for Miami elementary children. We will be packing 80 backpacks each week. The first packing will take place on Sept. 8th and the first distribution on Sept. 9th.  A sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board.  Thanks to those who provide leadership for this project:  CHRIS JOHANNSEN manages the food delivery; DICK RAHDERT organizes the distribution; NANCY BRANDT is in charge of the packing for the months of Sept-Nov; CATHY BARRON for the months of Dec-Feb; and LETA KELLEY for the end of the school year.

♦ JACK KELLEY expressed appreciation that the Dominican Republic water project is fully funded now and should be started in the near future.

♦ JACK KELLEY also announced that the Open World delegation from the Ukraine will be in Lafayette Sept. 16-24 and will be focusing on our ways of helping those who are disabled or have autism.  They will attend our Rotary meeting on Sept. 20th with a question-and-answer session following the regular meeting in the Purdue Room.
