PROGRAM:

We watched a video of Rotary International President JOHN GERM speaking at the convention in May. John Germ He began with a quote that “great enterprises begin with small opportunities.” GERM said that instead, great enterprises begin with great opportunities that appear small, like the opportunity that each of us had to join Rotary. The difference between a small opportunity and a great one is what YOU do with it. He spoke of Rotary’s success in combating polio with the expectation that new cases of polio will cease to exist after this year. The world will be polio-free when three years have passed without a single new case. We need to continue our strong efforts to be sure this happens. GERM encouraged all Rotarians that serving humanity is the most worthwhile thing we can do with our lives and that every good work we do makes the world a better place. Together, as a team, we are “Rotary Serving Humanity.
