PROGRAM:

LeeAnn Starkey thanked the club for the campership money that allowed additional children to participate in the SINGS festival sponsored by the Bach Chorale Children’s Choir.

Elsa Janle The Rotarian of the Year award was presented to ELSA JANLE in recognition of her many years of service to our Club. ELSA joined in 1994 and has served in many capacities: treasurer, board member, Pub Club, La Paz burn project finances and the Centennial Celebration committee, to name a few. ELSA is a Paul Harris Fellow. Congratulations, ELSA, and thank you for your service.

JIM KLUSMAN thanked those who helped him during his year as president, including his wife, Nancy. He commented on the strength of the Rotary organization worldwide because it is made up of people of all nations who are willing to serve. Now, more than ever, charitable organizations such as Rotary will be called upon to meet needs that governments do not have the resources to address.

President JIM passed the gavel to our new president, JOEL RASMUS, who introduced the officers for the coming year. President Elect, GAIL BRICKLER; Vice President, MIKE BOEBINGER; Treasurer, KATIE NIELSEN and Executive Secretary, RENEE FIGUEROA. JOEL looks forward to a productive Rotary year.
