PROGRAM:

MARK DAVIS introduced Tetia Lee, Executive Director of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, Tetia Lee She began with some history: Housed in the 90 year old Wells Library, built in 1926 for $100,000. TAF, now 40 years old with 4 staff members, serves as the umbrella Arts organization for 14 counties. Some of its many programs include the Gallery Walk, Taste of Tippecanoe (now 35 years old), Artist in Residence programs for outlying communities, Mural Art, Instrument lending library and Instrument Petting Zoo. Funding comes through the National Endowment for the Arts, Indiana Arts Commission and local fundraising. It promotes activities to support the four goals of the Goals of the Community Cultural Plan, including local arts district logos, the state’s first Indiana Cultural District, Mosey Down Main Street, Arts in the Park, Living History Tour, Haan Museum of Indiana Art and many more. Arts institutions have grown substantially in our area becoming an integral part of the community and contributing to the economy.

JANE'S CORNER:
Highlights of the Club Board meeting:
•    KATIE NIELSEN was elected to the position of treasurer of the club.
•    Klemme & Co. will continue to do the bookkeeping and tax return.  It will also supply a cloud version of QuickBooks with access granted to three members:  RENEE FIGUEORA, ELSA JANLE and KATIE NEILSEN.
•    A beautiful logo for the Centennial Celebration was approved.  
•    Production of the Club’s Directory was discussed.  

FACTOID:
Since the Rotary work to eradicate polio began, our club has contributed $96,400.
