♦ Melanie Dorsey, Region 4 Jobs for Americas Graduates Program Manager, works with eight area high schools with students at-risk of not graduating to assist them in planning for their future, meeting their graduation requirements, developing leadership skills and preparing for college or the workforce. Each year they host a Career Development Conference where the students compete. ♦ The Centennial Celebration Special Projects committee is collecting books for mini libraries in January. These books should be the type you would find in a library. In fact, children’s books are needed. No textbooks, please. A collection box will be available.
