ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ ELSA JANLE reminded us that dues are due November 1st.  Even though you have not received a dues statement (due to issues with the technology), you can mail your $126 to Rotary Club of Lafayette IN, Inc. P.O. Box 3923, West Lafayette, IN 47996 or bring a check or credit card to a luncheon meeting.   If you use PayPal there is a small additional charge.

♦ Pub Club will meet at Cellar 422 Wine Bar at 422 Main Street on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.  All are welcome.

♦ LETA KELLEY asked for back packers next Tuesday (there is no meeting next Tuesday).  Please contact her if you can help.

♦ DICK RAHDERT reminded us that the Beruit, Lebanon Rotary Club is asking for help to provide 250 wheelchairs for refugees from Syria.  So far 20 of our members have contributed $100 each – the required amount for each wheelchair.  If you are interested in helping, please contact DICK.
DICK also suggested that those members who have Paul Harris Pins wear them in November.   That is the month Rotary celebrates The Rotary Foundation.

♦ The District Mid-Year Conference is October 24th at Anderson University.  JACK KELLEY will be attending and will provide transportation.  Please contact him if you’re interested in learning more about Rotary.

♦ ELSA JANLE announced that the club will match up to 100 points for anyone wishing to contribute enough to become a Paul Harris Fellow or receive a new pin.  Contributions must be received by the end of February to allow enough time for RI to process them for presentation by the R I President at our Centennial Celebration.

♦ Our joint service club meeting with the Purdue Basketball coaches will next Thursday.  Same time – Same place – Same cost.  Kiwanis will be in charge of the meeting.

♦ 50/50 RAFFLE:  The owner of the winning ticket was STEVE STUCKY!  Unfortunately, the aces eluded him.   Better luck next time.
