TIM LUZADER presented DICK RAHDERT with a new pin containing a ruby signifying Paul Harris Fellowship +6. AL GATMAITEN received a special certificate and an attachment to wear on his Rotary Pin signifying that he is a Benefactor, which means his contribution went to the Permanent Fund of The Rotary Foundation. WES MCDIVITT, President of the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation presented CAROL GALBLRAITH with a certificate recognizing her has a GOLDEN SERVICE level contributor. Thanks, CAROL, for helping to fund local projects.

JIM KLUSMAN opened our Club Assembly by thanking NERLENE RAMSEY for the June programs.  He went on to remind us that the Rotary theme for June is Rotary Fellowships.  These are special interest groups who meet to enjoy their particular passion.  A very long list of the fellowships is available at the Rotary web site.

At the Rotary International Convention in Brazil earlier this month, RAVI RAVINDRAN from Sri Lanka was introduced as the 2015/2016 President.   JIM read excerpts from RAVI'S acceptance speech, which left several of us breathless and with blurry vision through tears of joy.   RAVI'S theme for the coming Rotary year is:  Be a Gift to the World.   JIM saved the best for last.  He announced that RAVI will be here on April 30, 2016 to help us celebrate our centennial.   Special thanks to BILL HATFIELD for making that happen.
