VOCATIONAL MOMENT:
BOB WOERNER shared with us his career path after graduation from Purdue in Electrical Engineering in 1946. Bob WoernerHe worked in the Dean of Engineering office taking care of business matters until 1960. A move to MPATI used his skills to launch an airborne TV system to broadcast instructional programs to schools in a 200 mile radius of campus. MPATI was useful from 1962 – 1967 when it became obsolete. BOB’S next move was to Chicago to be the comptroller and Executive Director of National PTA. With six million members nationwide, he often traveled to each state and Washington, D.C. He also arranged for the annual conference for 1,500 people. There was added excitement (and work) when President Reagan asked to speak to the conference in Albuquerque, NM, in 1983.

GUESTS:

Stan Elofson, guest of CHIP RUTLEDGE.
