PROGRAM:
High School Scholarship/Citizenship Committee Co-Chair, CATHY BARRON, introduced fellow committee members NANCY BRANDT, Co-Chair; JOHN BARRETT, MARTI GUTWEIN, BOB HANNEMANN, ELDON ORTMAN, LIZ SOLBERG, LARRY HUGGINS, TOM MORAN, JOEL RASMUS, MARIELLEN NEUDECK, TIM LUZADER and thanked them for their work.  She then introduced the school officials who were present:
Superintendents:  Scott Hanback, Tippecanoe School Corp. and  Rocky Killion, West Lafayette School Corp.
Principals: Neil Wagner, Central Catholic; Barb List,  standing in for Allen Remaly, Harrison; Ron Shriner, West Lafayette
Counselors:
Earl Coleman,  McCutcheon
The Scholarships were awarded to:
Julianne Delaney, daughter of Kim Delaney and a student at Central Catholic, who will study Business management and Spanish at IU.
Joshua Groh, son of Lisa and David Groh, and a Harrison senior, who will attend Purdue in Economics and Financial Engineering.
Sarah Cooper, daughter of Carolyn and Bruce Cooper, a Jefferson High School student, who was not able to attend today because she is attending a conference.  She will study biochemistry and animal sciences.
Emilie Eros, daughter of Susie and Alex Eros, who is graduating from McCutcheon with academic honors with distiniction.  She will study business finance at Xavier University.
Mahera  Husain, daughter of Saina and Salmon Husain. This West Lafayette High School senior will study Chemical Engineering at Purdue.

Highlights from the Club Board meeting:
•    Policy OP#10 – District and Global Grants was approved.
•    The Executive Secretary contract for TURNER was approved for 2015-2016.
•    Speaker scheduling is going well for next year.
•    A policy for the communications process was requested of the Governance Committee.
•    58 members still need to pay dues.
•    A resolution requesting financial information from the Club Foundation was approved.
•    The Leadership Lafayette Volunteer Expo attracted several potential members.  A “guest day” is being planned.
•    A fund raising activity for International Projects is in the planning stages.  Stay tuned….
