PROGRAM:

CAROLINE BRIGGS introduced our own BOB HANNEMANN, who gave us an update on the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Bob Hannemann BOB began by thanking the members of his committee: PHIL KLINGER, FRED KUIPERS and TOM MORAN. May in National Missing and Exploited Children month, so the video he showed reminded us of the work of the Center for Missing and Exploited Children during the past year. Supporting law enforcement to find children all across the country and teaching safety programs head the list of activities. Locally the committee facilitates communication to our members and schools, expands the network of commercial partners and works to involve our Rotary District in the work of the Center.

Major sporting events, like those hosted in Indianapolis, are big business for those involved the sex slave trade. Young teenage girls are prime targets and very difficult to rescue.

BOB ended by telling us that if we become aware of a missing child, call 911. The authorities will contact the Center for support.
