PROGRAM:

JIM KLUSMAN chaired our Club Assembly. Jim Klusman He thanked CHRISTA KECK for setting up the programs for February and gave the club a preview of a policy the Board is considering where all members would be responsible for providing a program. JIM reminded us that the theme for this month is World Understanding and referred to this month’s Rotarian Magazine which gives statistics on the percentage of Earth’s population speaking multiple languages. He thanked BILL HATFIELD for teaching French and CHRISTA KECK for teaching German. Last weekend was PETS.

The District Budget was approved as distributed. There may be a resolution sent regarding travel expenses for next year’s budget. Under the heading of “Rotary Giving”, we need to understand that Rotary encourages all members to give $100 each year. If your budget does not allow that, members are encouraged to give something. Every bit counts. Of course, participation is also important.
