ANNOUNCEMENTS: |
♦ Pub Club will meet at Avidity on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. |
♦ It’s time to order Valentine Toffee Hearts. Take a form and let your office mates or breakfast buddies order some, too. The price remains the same: $15 per box. Rotary gets $5 per box for projects. An order form is available here. |
♦ SAVE THE DATE: Fund raising dinner at Maza on Wednesday, February 25th. Watch for more details. |
♦ Do you have some time at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 22nd? Help is needed to unload the food truck at Miami School. Most of the regulars will be out of town that day. |
♦ Volunteers for BackPack are needed. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board. |
♦ JACK KELLEY reminded members that donations to the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation’s International Projects fund – specifically the Dominican Republic Water Project – are needed. This project is in conjunction with a Purdue Student Engineering project. To receive a matching grant from Rotary International, we need to be able to show that we have over $7,000 in our fund for this project. JACK has written to 52 other clubs in the state to see if they would be interesting in contributing toward this project. |
♦ Help is needed to sell raffle tickets. Please contact JOHN BARRETT or DICK PEYTON if you can help. |
♦ 50/50 Raffle: The owner of the winning ticket was NELLIE LECHMAN. Unfortunately, the aces eluded her, so she received a One Dollar coin as consolation. |
GUESTS: Bill Lechman, husband of NELLIE LECHMAN; Mark Brandyberry, guest of ARVID OLSON. |
STUDENT GUESTS: CATHY BARRON introduced Heya Kaakeh and Ryan Kim from West Lafayette High School. Each received a certificate with the Four-Way Test to commemorate meeting with us today. |
