PROGRAM:

Wearing his Santa hat, BOB VERPLANK, accompanied by BOB GRIFFITHS, led us in singing several seasonal songs. Bob Verplank JIM KLUSMAN remembered his favorite Christmas gifts as a child. They all had to do with model airplanes – which led to stories about his days in the Air Force and some jokes he and JIM GRAHAM exchange. He shared some exciting video of him landing his single engine plane in a crosswind at Purdue Airport.

MAURI WILLIAMSON described Christmas when he was a child in Economy, Indiana, where he was able to see the stars, imagine Santa, string popcorn and cranberries for the tree, join carollers singing around town, and enjoy a chicken (not turkey) dinner. Peace, generosity, compassion and love are the common wish all over the world.

Arvid OlsonARVID OLSON introduced Bethany Smith, who played Silent Night on her violin. We then sang sacred music, led by ARVID and accompanied by Bethany.

To complete the program, CORKY MITCHELL, accompanied by RAY PEETERS, led members in singing We Wish You a Merry Christmas.
