PROGRAM:
The program was a wonderful Veterans Day presentation. CHRIS JOHANNSEN introduced the panel moderator, JIM KLUSEMAN who himself was a 26-year Air Force veteran who served as a Viet Nam era pilot. The panel consisted of LOU RUNNELLS who served in the Army during WW2 as a food inspector, GENE HILLS, also in the Army, enlisted right out of high school. Gene served during the Korean War and JOHN TROTT, a Marine who served in Viet Nam. John told a fascinating story about he and his men being ambushed causing the deaths of two of his men. One was nominated later by Trott for the Medal of Honor which was awarded to him posthumously. Years later that soldier's sister looked John up to find out what really happened that day. Her parents would never talk about it. They reunited and are still friends today.  THANKS VETERANS!!
