ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ GRIFF always had a funny story or joke.  Next week we will honor GRIFF by telling a few stories.  If you have a story involving GRIFF that you would like to share, please send it to JANE in written form.  Some stories will be selected to be read and all will be passed along to Carol Jean and the family.  We think GRIFF would appreciate this kind of “eulogy”.

♦ The Lafayette Magazine, Summer issue is out and it has an article about the Lafayette Rotary Club and the Daybreak Club and our emphasis on youth projects in the community.

♦ We were very pleased to see a large turnout of Rotarians at GRIFF’S memorial service. Donations in his memory to the Lafayette Rotary Foundation, according to family wishes, are being accepted by JANE.

♦ Will we have another Harvest Dinner?  Who will organize it?  Should we have another kind of fund raiser?  CHRISTINE BURR announced that we would be receiving a survey by e-mail to indicate preferences for different possibilities.  If you have suggestions, please contact BECKY ROBLEDO or JANE.

♦ Our printed directories quickly become “out of date”.  Before we print more this summer, please check your information and report changes and/or cell phone number to JANE.

♦ The Local Projects Committee is considering projects for 2015.  If you have ideas, please contact DON GENTRY or JANE.

♦ Pub Club is meeting at Sargent Prestons, Lafayette at 5:30 PM on Wednesday.

♦ JIM BODENMILLER reminds us that the Round the Fountain Art Fair is this Saturday, May 24th,
9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  The Courthouse Square will be filled with nearly 100 great fine artists.
