PROGRAM:

PRESIDENT CHRIS introduced JIM KLUSMAN to conduct our Club Assembly to discuss the future of the club. Jim Klusman JIM reminded us of our Mission Statement – To Further the Object of Rotary. A banner with the Object of Rotary stands at the front of the room each week, but is too small to be read past the first row. Boiled down it is:
A – Development of Acquaintances
E - High Ethical Standards
I – International Goodwill
O - Recognition of Occupations
S – Lives of Service
A, E, I, O, S is the memory aid to help us keep these in mind.

The Theme for April is the Rotarian Magazine. There were several good articles pointing out problems and offering easy solutions in some cases. If you have not read your magazine, be sure to check it out.

JIM has lined up “Program Stewards” for next year. Each is in charge of programs for one month. He asked each table to brainstorm and write down ideas for topics and/or names with contact information.

Members appeared to enjoy the exercize and many cards were presented to JIM following the meeting.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:
I’ve often noted that within the first thirty seconds of a conversation about the future, that the past usually comes up to support a prediction. – The Futurist Magazine
