PROGRAM:

VICKI BURCH introduced Rotaract member Lindsay Gasiorowski, who gave us a look at “The Past Year Activities at the Rotaract Club of Purdue University”.Lindsay GasiorowskiThe club has between 15 and 20 members (mostly female) and is advised by DAVID BRIDGES. Some of their projects include Trick or Treating for canned goods for Food Finders. They wear our Rotary vests to identify themselves. They help pack our backpacks on Thursdays; walk dogs for Natalie’s Second Chance; distribute fliers and perform skits for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (helping BOB HANNEMANN’S committee); and assist with our Harvest Dinner. They also are caregiver companions – helping seniors with chores and companionship. Projects completed during their meetings include writing letters to soldiers, making dog toys and putting together Easter baskets to distribute on campus. In the future they want to participate in Relay for Life, Salvation Army bell ringing and collecting clothing for Ecuador. They meet every other Monday at 7:00 p.m.
