ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ There are still available slots for you to fill to ring the Salvation Army bell this Saturday, December 14 at seven locations around our cities. The current list of commitments is here. JIM KLUSMAN suggests you can split a two-hour block into one hour for each Rotarian, if standing for two hours in the cold is too much to handle.  If you prefer to ring for two hours jointly with a fellow Rotarian, by all means do that, but remember that the one-hour option is available.  And on cold days, JACK KELLEY suggests taking a rug to stand on.  It provides comfort and warmth for the feet.

♦ ELSA JANLE’S beautiful jewelry makes a lovely gift for your special someone.  She will have it a at the back of the room until Christmas.   A generous 40% of the sale price goes to support our projects fund.

♦ PUB CLUB will meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 at Nine Irish Brothers on the East side for the month of December. All are welcome to join the fun.

♦ There will be no Rotary Club luncheons on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

♦ The Holiday Open House will be at JANE TURNER’S home on Thursday, December 19th.  The fun will begin at 4:30.  If you enjoy wine, please bring a bottle to share.  All other food and sweets will be provided.

♦ Backpack volunteers are needed.  Next week backpacks will be packed on two days -  Tuesday and Thursday.  If you can help either of both days, please do so as we need the help.

♦ Our Rotary District 6560 will match your contributions to the Rotary International Foundation with points to double your credit toward your next Paul Harris level. This applies to contributions of $100 to $500 until December 31, 2013. A copy of your online transaction, or a copy of check and the contribution form is needed to receiver the District credits, or give your check and form to JANE.
