♦ Our biggest fund raising event is October 25th.  Ticket sales end October 18th.  This will be a fun evening with our own NATE BARRETT as master of ceremonies; Mark Brandyberry performing magic tricks right before your very eyes; a delicious meal followed by a “pie bar” and an auction.  You need to be there and bring your friends, mother-in-law, cousins and favorite uncle.  This will fund our local projects for next year.   If you have auction items, please get them to BECKY ROBLEDO by this Friday – the 18th!

♦ SANGITA HANDA invited us to get a taste of Indian culture Indo-western Fusion culture, and lots of Indian and Fusion food at the Faith West Church, this Saturday, any time between 2:00 and 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $6 online (myiwa.org) and $8 at the door.  Proceeds go to the local YWCA and ICRW (icrw.org).

♦ PUB CLUB will meet this Wednesday at 5:30 PM at Pablanos. All are welcome to join the fun.

♦ Backpack sign up sheets are on the bulletin board. Volunteers are needed to pack at different days this next week because of October Break. Backpacking will be on Tuesday, October 22 and the Distribution will be on Wednesday, October 23 instead of Thursday and Friday of next week. Additionally, we are short handed for the Distribution on November 1 because of some of our usual Rotarians will be at the District Conference. Please sign up to help as we are short-handed.

♦ 50/50 RAFFLE:  The winning ticket belonged to BOB   HANNEMANN.  Unfortunately the aces eluded him and he received a coupon for an appetizer at Fridays.
