ANNOUNCEMENTS: |
♦ We have (16) Purdue Rotaracts signed up to assist with the auctions and other duties during the entire evening of our Harvest Dinner. Six tickets have already been covered. We would like to cover all of their meals as a “thank you”. If you can purchase an extra ticket or two, please contact KIM KOTULIAK or BECKY ROBLEDO. |
♦ The Green Project, headed by JAYNE FEATHERS, is looking for projects that appeal to younger adults and families. If you have ideas, please contact her. |
♦ PUB CLUB will meet this Wednesday at 5:30 at Baja Peninsula. All are welcome to join the fun. |
♦ Backpack sign up sheets are on the bulletin board. Volunteers are needed to pack on Thursdays and distribute on Fridays. Please sign up to help. |
♦ 50/50 RAFFLE: The winning ticket belonged to CHRIS JOHANNSEN. All of the aces eluded him, so he went home with a box of Wolf’s Fine Chocolatles as consolation prize. |
SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: |
To showcase Community College Scholarship awards given by our club as a result of fund raising efforts like the upcoming Harvest Dinner, BETTY DOVERSBERGER told stories of recent recipients and how our help has changed their lives and the lives of people around them for the better. In fact, she reminded us that helping these young adults has helped the community. Claudia is now a registered nurse. Nancy and Daniel just purchased their first home. Taylor is a dental assistant. Cheryl is studying to be a para-legal. They all thanked us through BETTY. |
