♦ Wednesdays in July our Pub Club will be meeting at Toscana’s at the Holiday Inn Lafayette – City Centre, 515 South Street. Join us at 5:30 pm for a beverage of your choice plus some shared appetizers and lots of good conversation. Pub Club is a good way to relax for a little while in the midst of a busy week. Attendance varies between 8 and 15 and counts as a make-up. We pay for our own drinks and share the cost of appetizers, usually $5-$7 a person

♦ BECKY ROBLEDO announced that she and LETA KELLEY are co-chairs for the Community Foundation’s Gems & Jeans event where 6 of the 16 agencies participating in the Endowment Matching Campaign will be visited. August 10; Lafayette Country Club; casual attire; $85 per person. Please contact BECKY or LETA if you can attend.

♦ 50/50 RAFFLE: The winning ticket belonged to CHIP RUTLEDGE (for the second week in a row!). Unfortunately, the aces eluded him, so he received a consolation prize.

EULOGY:

BOB VERPLANK presented a moving eulogy for his neighbor and fellow Rotarian, MILLARD PLUMLEE, who died July 5, 2013.
