ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ CAROL GALBRAITH, speaking for the Harvest Dinner Steering and HoopLa Committees, asked us to save the date (Friday, October 25th) and think of someone you can urge to attend. This event is open to the community – not just Rotarians.

♦ Pub Club will meet at the Lafayette Country Club at 5:30 p.m. on each of the Wednesdays in June. Feel free to join the lively conversation after work!

♦ The Raffle has been suspended until our Gaming License is renewed.

♦ The Quadrat School in Afghanistan that JIM GRAHAM has told us about is in need of a generator to pump water to the new building. If Rotarians will help raise $1,600, JIM will match it to fund the materials for Hakim (Qudrat’s father) to install the water system. If you can help, please contact JIM at jamesgraham53@att.net

♦ FRITZ COHEN read a message from Pankau Sharma telling about the Energy Academy, which is attended by about 70 high school students from Indiana. One or two guests from Rotary are invited to attend the closing/presentation day (including a policy debate) on June 22nd from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the South Ballroom of Purdue Memorial Union. Please contact FRITZ if you can attend.
