ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ President Elect CHRIS JOHANNSEN is working on the Club Committee assignments.  If you would like to serve on a specific Committee, please contact him before Sunday evening. He is leaving for Portugal on Monday and will be our Club’s representative at the Rotary International Meetings in Lisbon, Portugal, June 23-16. He and wife, Jo are traveling in Spain and Portugal prior to the meetings.

If you have been serving on a Committee for several years and would like to join another Committee, he would like to hear from you. Also if you would like to serve as a Chair or Co-Chair of a Committee, he would like to know that as well. Plus if you know of someone who has expressed and interest in a specific Committee, please pass the name to him. Involvement in a Committee and its activities are a good way to get more out of your Rotary experience. Contact CHRIS at johan@purdue.edu or cell phone 409-3240.

♦ Pub Club will meet at the Lafayette Country Club at 5:30 p.m. on each of the Wednesdays in June.  Feel free to join the lively conversation after work!

♦ Membership cards for those who have paid dues are available at the back desk.  Please pick up your card.

♦ The Raffle has been suspended until we receive our re-newed Gaming License.

♦ The Quadrat School in Afghanistan that JIM GRAHAM has told us about is in need of generator to pump water to the new building.  If Rotarians will help raise $1,600, JIM will match it to fund the materials for Hakim (Qudrat’s father) to install the water system.  If you can help, please contact JIM at jamesgraham53@att.net

♦ LETA KELLEY announced that backpacks will be gathered up to take to have them cleaned.  She has arranged for volunteers to assist with this task.
