50/50 RAFFLE:
CHRIS BIANG asked BOB VERPLANK to draw a ticket. The owner of the ticket was DICK GRIPE. Unfortunately, the remaining Aces eluded him and he selected from the consolation prizes.

PROGRAM:

CHIP RUTLEDGE introduced Dr. Steve Witz, Director, Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, whose topic was "Collaborating with Healthcare Providers to Improve Healthcare Delivery". A grant written by CHIP RUTLEDGE, BOB HANNEMANN and JOE PEKNY asking the Regenstreif Foundation to fund studying the use of non-healthcare techniques to improve healthcare led to the past seven years of useful research. Using examples of infusion pumps and their reliability and statistical studies of diseases and the cost of care, he described the impact to clinicians who can tap into the research. In addition to the Regenstreif Foundation, 2/3 of the funding for the center comes from competitive grants totaling $56 Million dollars in the past seven years.

GUESTS:

Chris D'Acosta, guest of BOB VERPLANK; Cathy Savaiano, wife of DENNIS SAVAIANO; Allison Kaminski, Zach Fussey and Matt Grimme, Rotaract members.
