    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ TIM LUZADER reported on the three financial goals for the Club ? local, endowment and Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY). The local fund is looking good with a boost coming next week from the Harvest Dinner. We have some time to work on the endowment. EREY is way behind. Local and Endowment have to do with the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation, which funds local projects. EREY is Rotary International's way to encourage every Rotarian to contribute something (but suggests $100) to The Rotary Foundation every year.

♦ PHIL TUCKER reported that he is waiting for responses from Tippy Connect to a questionnaire. The answers to questions were asked of our club members are available in printed form. He asks that we take the printed sheets and narrow down the ideas to the Top 10 in each category. Return the forms to JANE in the next two weeks.

♦ GENE HILLS announced that the Elks Club is honoring all Korean War veterans by hosting them and their wives at a complementary dinner on November 9th. Please contact GENE if you can attend or know of someone who should attend.

♦ GSE Team members arrive this Sunday, October 21st. Six guests will be hosted by six different Rotarian families. Thank you to those who volunteered their homes.

♦ Pub Club will meet this week and next at Nine Irish Brothers on the levee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. It's a fun group at a fun place. Don't miss it!

♦  LETA KELLEY announced the upcoming Euchre schedule.
November 3rd hosted by the Kelleys
December 1st hosted by the Handas

♦ The Nominating Committee will be meeting soon. They will be seeking leaders for the future. If you know of someone who should be considered, please contact TIM LUZADER.
