PROGRAM:

BOB VERPLANK introduced Lafayette attorney Brent Clary, whose topic was "Running with the bulls of Pamplona, Spain". Decked out in a red cape and black beret, Brent lived in Spain during 1969/70 and had the opportunity to be in Pamplona for the festival which includes the running of bulls in the street before the bull fight that afternoon. He showed photographs of the bull ring and described the major players and what happens to the bull. Everyone running with the bulls wears something red or white. Northern Europeans and several Spaniards want to discontinue bill fighting. Brent thanked BOB for finding many of the photographs we saw today on the Internet.
