PROGRAM:

JO WADE introduced Morgan Burke, who talked about his experience watching David Boudia win the gold medal at the London Olympics. He sees a need to strengthen the town and gown tie and asked businesses and residences to fly the Purdue flag.

Dave Schondell, head volleyball coach has 191 victories in 10 years, a confident team and excellent athletes. Twelve of 15 players are back this year and seven of them are starters. After reviewing the players, he summarized everything by saying he has an experienced team and a terrific facility. The season opens this weekend.

Four year head football coach, Danny Hope, says he has a great team coming back to play this year. Several players are top at the national level in their position. They also have a higher academic level than the average of male students on campus. His goal is to return the program to national prominence and to fill Ross-Ade Stadium. He reviewed the players, expressing praise for the quarterback, who has talent and experience.

Burke thanked all of the John Purdue members and ended by saying, "Boiler up, Hammer down, and Hail Purdue."

There were several good questions following the presentation.
