    ♦ Committee sign up sheets for next year are available at the back desk. Be sure to indicate your preference or you may be assigned a committee.

    ♦ Because the Lafayette Schools have Friday off, the schedule for Backpacks is moved up a day. Packing will take place on Wednesday, May 25th and distributing on Thursday, May 26th. Help is needed both days.

    ♦ Don't forget the 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Attica/Williamsport Rotary Club at the Beefhouse on Sunday, April 29th. 3:00 open bar; 4:00 Dinner at $30.00 per person.     ♦ BOB HANNEMANN announced that the committee for Abused and Missing Children will meet next week.

    ♦ GORDON COPPOC reminded us that the Ukranians participating in the Open World program will arrive on June 2nd and leave on June 6th. He is looking for host families. Please contact him if you have a spare bedroom.

    ♦ DAVE LUHMAN gave us an update on the Lafayette Rotary Club Foundation matching grant program with the Community Foundation. So far 70 members have contributed $17,761.25. With the match from CFGL of $4,440.31, the total in new money for the endowment fund is $22,201.56. We are on our way toward the goal of growing the endowment by $100,000 in the next two years.

    ♦ KEN RITCHEY AND BILL LAPCHESKA from the Daybreak Club invited us to their 5th Annual "A Toast to Mental Health", Thursday, May 3rd, 6 p.m., Shively Club at Ross Ade Stadium. A fun loving auctioneer will help you want to buy commissioned art, a trip on the Indy raceway, hand crafted glasswork, sports memorabilia, and more. There will be music, wine and Hors d'Oeuvres. $35 per person. Register on line at mhalafayette.org
