BIRTHDAY TABLE:
BARB REIF, chair of the June Birthday Table, introduced Rotarians celebrating another year and announced that $1400 has been contributed to our Foundations. We sang Happy Birthday to celebrate!

PROGRAM:

CATHY BARRON introducted Matt Rhoda, Principle & Debbie Gutwein, Counselor at Miami School spoke on Making a Difference through Backpacks. CATHY expressed appreciation for Rotary's involvement in Miami's Backpack Program including the list of Rotary helpers, along with the packers on Thursdays and the distributors on Fridays and the Rotarians who get the boxes of food from Food Finders once a month or so and then deliver them to Miami School.
Matt spoke about the the need for backpacks and how a grant helped to allow the them to move the number of backpack food recipients from 80 to 120. They have 460 students at Miami. Matt said the kids appreciate being able to help with their family needs. Debbie expressed much gratitude and re-stated how great the need is at Miami as long with reading thank you notes from several of the children.
