PROGRAM:

VICKI BURCH introduced West Lafayette Mayor John Dennis who presented a modified version of his State of the City speech. He introduced the leadership of West Lafayette and then reviewed the departments. There was good news from the West Lafayette Police and West Lafayette Fire Departments. The Street and Sanitation Department has been challenged recently to remove snow and ice. Its seven trucks and four drivers worked long hours during the storm. Under the heading of "Engineering, a Plan", Mayor Dennis discussed the Lindberg Bridge, Cumberland Avenue and its round-abouts, Sycamore Lane, Yeager Road and Navajo Drive. The city owned, environmentally "green", Waste Water Treatment facility has received State recognition.
