    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ TOM MORAN reminded the club that while refurbishing the old badge box five years ago, he found HOWARD PORSCHE'S name etched in the metal. HOWARD "HOWDIE" PORSCHE was a member from 1946/47 till his death in 1988. During that time he served many years as treasurer. He also built the badge box that was used until this week. We appreciate the durability of the box, a testament to his long life of service. We appreciate TOM MORAN'S ability and willingness to manage the badge box for the club. The two new badge boxes are arranged alphabetically (for now), so to find your badge, you'll need to brush up on your ABC's. The number on the back of your badge now means nothing. It may be changed - some day.

♦ JAN GRIFFIN KOEHLER announced that nomination forms for the Vocational Service Above Self Award are available at the back table. A Rotarian, non- Rotarian or agency may be nominated. The deadline is March 1st. Please think of a deserving person to recognize.

♦ Packers are needed on Thursdays to pack backpacks at Miami School. Please sign up to help or contact LETA KELLEY.

♦ STEVE STUCKY asked Nathan Hedrick to draw the winning 50/50 Raffle ticket. It belonged to student guest Brady Knoy from McCutcheon High School. Unfortunately the Ace of Spades eluded him.

♦ Tickets are still available for the End Polio concert with Itzhak Perlman. For more Information, Click here.

♦ Registration for District Conference is easy on line. The first 300 registrants will receive tickets to the Charlie Daniels show at the Palladium in Carmel as part of the $99 registration fee. A link from our website to the District website will take you to the registration form. For those who want to fill in a paper form, they are available at the back table. There are eleven members who are already registered.

♦ The Rotary International Convention is May 21 - 25 in New Orleans. Registration forms are available at the back desk. This is the last opportunity in about 5 years to attend the convention in the U.S.
