ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ PRESIDENT DICK asked MIKE SIMPSON to step to the front where his gift to the backpack program was recognized. He received a box of Valentine Toffee as a small token of our appreciation. MIKE told the story of his father, Grand Rapids, Michigan's first pediatrician. A note from the family of one of his patients on Dr. Simpson's 100th birthday thanked him for treating the little boy from his black bag and for the two bags of groceries that saved the family.

♦ District Conference registration forms are available on line. The first 300 registrants will receive tickets to the Charlie Daniels show at the Palladium in Carmel as part of the $99 registration fee. Registration is easy. A link from our website to the District website will take you to the registration form.

♦ Be sure to read this month's Rotarian. There is a nice article about JIM GRAHAM and his connection to Gift of Life.

♦ It's time to order your Valentine Toffee. And, in fact, you can take orders from colleagues, friends and family. Order forms are available at our web site. All orders must be received by January 28th so that boxes can be delivered at the Rotary meeting on February 8th. Rotary keeps $5.00 of every box sold.

♦ TERRY WEST asked BILL HATFIELD to pull a ticket from the 50/50 Raffle Basket. The winning number belonged to SUZANN SHACKLETON! Unfortunately, the Ace of Spades eluded her. She received a box of Valentine Toffee.
