PROGRAM:

DICK RAHDERT introduced Rabi Mohtar, who spoke to us about the Purdue Global Engineering Program's Water Projects. He is a specialist in Dry Land Hydrology. Global Water Security and the role of Global Service Learning in Engineering provides international experiences for students and staff. He explained that old world river valley cultures (the Nile, Ganges, Yangtze and Tigress and Euphrates) did not deplete the available water. Today global water withdrawal is increasing. The Global Design Team received course credit on projects in Kenya, Cameroon, Columbia, Jordan and Lebanon. It is funded by Purdue's College of Engineering, but the funds do not pay salaries. They are used for student travel to the project site.

STUDENT GUESTS:

FRED KUIPERS interviewed Meredith Johnson and Reed Wulbrecht from Jefferson High School. Each received a certificate and a travel mug with the Four-Way Test to commemorate meeting with us today.

But the pig treats you as an equal.
