    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ PRESIDENT DICK thanked the volunteers who made the Open World project a huge success.

♦ Don't forget - In two weeks we will meet on Thursday, not Tuesday. This is the meeting with Purdue Basketball coaches hosted by Kiwanis.

♦ JAYNE FEATHERS reminded everyone that Applebee's on the west side will reserve the whole restaurant for us on October 16th (Purdue Homecoming) from 8 - 10 a.m. Our job is to sell tickets for $10 each ($5 of which will go to our club for Polio Eradication) for a pancake breakfast with all the trimmings. Office mates, friends and relatives are all possible customers. Or purchase them for any number of charities. Everyone needs a good breakfast!

♦ LETA KELLEY announced that she and JACK will host a Echre party on October 30th. If you have not played before, don't let that stop you. The fun begins at 6:30 at the KELLEY home. R.S.V.P. to LETA.

♦ TERRY WEST announced that $58 worth of raffle tickets were sold today. The winning number belonged to TIM LUZADER! Although the Ace of Spades eluded him, he received a free ticket to the pancake breakfast. Congratulations, TIM!

♦ Unfortunately the Rotary Work Day last Saturday was a complete wash out due to rain.

♦ October 24 - World Polio Day. Any contributions of $100 or more to The Rotary Foundation on line during the week prior will receive 2 for 1 recognition points.

    ♦  April 29 & 30, 2011 - District Conference in Carmel, IN.

♦ If you don't want to hear about Every Rotarian Every Year, please make your donation when you pay your dues and DICK will happily refrain from haranguing us all year.

♦ The open backpack at the attendance table is ready to receive loose change and paper as a fund-raiser for that project.
