President Dick made several announcements:

♦ September   is   New Generations month for Rotary. Our club sponsors a Rotaract Club, four RYLA students and a Rotary Youth Exchange student.

♦ September 24th - Rotary International President, RAY KLINGINSMITH, will speak at the Carmel Rotary Club on Friday at noon. There are eight members of our club who will attend. If you can join the group, please contact DICK or JANE asap.

♦ September 25th - Purdue Rotaract Club President, JACQUELINE COONEY, invited us to a cookout from 2 - 5 p.m. in Happy Hallow Park's Shelter 3. Please R.S.V.P. to JACQUELINE at rotaract.purdue@gmail.com This is a terrific opportunity to get to know the members of Rotaract.

♦ October 2nd - Rotary Workday in the State of Indiana by declaration of Governor Mitch Daniels. We are teaming up with Daybreak, Rotaract and Interact to work on a Rain Garden Project. It was suggested that senior members have a gathering and write to members who are shut-in.

♦ April 29 & 30, 2011 - District Conference in Carmel, IN.

♦ President Dick showed a picture of a covered bridge that will chart EREY contributions. If you don't want to hear about Every Rotarian Every Year, please make your donation when you pay your dues and DICK will happily refrain from haranguing us all year.

♦ Those whose server has changed from verizon to frontier need to inform JANE.

♦ The open backpack at the attendance table is ready to receive loose change and paper as a fund-raiser for that project.
