♦ The Lafayette Daybreak Club is seeking host families for a Rotary Exchange Student from Brazil coming to Lafayette Jefferson High School this fall. If you can help, or know someone who can (does not have to be a Rotarian), Please contact TOM BUSCH or JANE. |

Highlights of the Board Meeting:
♦ A checking account for the Future Vision Plan has been opened at Lafayette Savings Bank ♦ Our grant request for $15,000 worth of equipment for the El Salvador Burn Unit was approved in the amount of $5,000. ♦ PDG JIM GRAHAM has asked large clubs in the district to pledge $5,000 toward teaching local doctors in Uganda to repair hearts. This would be done by the Gift of Life project. ♦ The Backpack Project crew will remain the same for next year, although new blood is needed. Non-Rotarians are welcome to pack and distribute. ♦ The Lafayette Rotary Club and the Lafayette Daybreak Rotary Club will jointly host a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Brazil. Daybreak will provide the supervision and our club will provide $1,800 to cover 75% of the costs.
