    ANNOUNCEMENTS:

    ♦ If you would like club members to be informed of surgeries or illness, please notify the President or Secretary.

    ♦ The District Conference is April 30 - May 2 in Indianapolis. There is still time to register. Forms are on the District 6560 website.

    ♦ KEN RITCHIE from Daybreak asked us to save the date - May 6. Their 3rd annual Toast to Mental Health will take place at the Best Western between 6 and 8 P.M. The wine and cheese tasting with silent auction is $35 per person.

    ♦ JACK KELLEY announced that there will be two opportunities to get to know the GSE team from the Netherlands in addition to their program on April 20th. On Thursday, April 22nd you can join the fun at a buffet banquet at the Lafayette Country Club. Cost is $17 - paid to JACK prior to April 20th. After the meeting on the 20th there will be time for conversation with the group in one of the adjacent small rooms at University Plaza Hotel.

    ♦ Committee sign up sheets are available at the back desk. If you have not turned yours in, please do so by the end of this month.

    ♦ TOM MORAN announced a Derby Day Party for the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra on May 1st. Join the fun and watch the race on a 100" TV screen. See TOM for tickets.


    JANE'S CORNER:
    Highlights from the Club Board Meeting:

    ♦ Amendments to the proposed Bylaws were approved. These proposed Bylaws will be distributed in May in preparation for a vote by the membership.

    ♦ Contribution to Every Rotarian Every Year totaled $16,058 at the end of March. That represents $71 per member with 46% of the club participating.

    ♦ With help from CAROL GALBRAITH, 130 books are being sent to Miami Elementary School for distribution by the school officials. This fulfills our Literacy Project for this year.
