He asked for volunteers to be on a Steering Committee for Public Relations♦ Participating with the Daybreak Club on a Rotary Youth Exchange student was sent back to the committee for answers to questions.♦ There was discussion about changes to the website, including a "Members Only" section.

♦ More backpack volunteers are needed on Thursdays and Fridays. Sign up on the board in the back of the room or contact CHARLOTTE HOWELLS.

♦ The Rotary International Convention is in Montreal in June. Registration forms are available on the back desk. Montreal is a marvelous city and on this continent. This is an opportunity to experience the wonderful world of Rotary in a few days.

♦ JACK KELLEY will accept donated shoes and glasses until spring break.

♦ To celebrate the 105th birthday of Rotary, Applebee's is helping us raise funds to Eradicate Polio by contributing 15% of what we buy on February 22nd. Celebrate with fun, food and fellowship. Give flyers to all of your friends and family. They are good at both Lafayette and West Lafayette Applebee's on the 22nd. A flyer with the coupon MUST be presented in order for Rotary to receive the 15%. Pick up a flyer at the back table ot download one here.

♦ CAROL GALBRAITH has organized the Rotary Speech Contest. It will take place at the downtown Library on Tuesday, February 23rd (Rotary's 105th Birthday) at 6 P.M. The topic is "Service Above Self". Three judges are needed. Please contact CAROL if you can help.

♦ from the 19th to the 22nd of April. He is expecting the usual outstanding cooperation from club members for technical visits and hosting.

♦ Last night the Board of Directors voted to spend $2,000 to send two Shelter Boxes to Haiti. These boxes contain shelter, food and other necessities for ten people for about three months. JACK KELLEY researched acquisition of these boxes and found that by purchasing them in England, we could afford three boxes. He placed the order and the boxes should be in Haiti by the end of the week.

♦ Due to the snowstorm, schools were closed today. The student guests will have to be rescheduled.
