FEBRUARY PROGRAMS:

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

♦ Orders for Valentines Day Toffee have exceeded 100 boxes. Production is on schedule and a few more boxes will be available if you decide at the last minute that you need an extra.

♦ Volunteers are needed this Thursday and Friday to pack and distribute Backpacks. Please contact CHARLOTTE HOWELLS if you can help.

♦ The Rotary International Convention is in Montreal in June. Registration forms are available on the back desk. Montreal is a marvelous city and on this continent. This is an opportunity to experience the wonderful world of Rotary in a few days.

♦ CAROL GALBRAITH announced that speech and interview judges are needed for a contest to be held Friday, February 12th.

♦ She also volunteered to chair the local Rotary Speech Contest. It will be the evening of February 23rd. Judges are needed for this event as well. If you can help Carol, please contact her.

♦ JACK KELLEY will accept donated shoes and glasses until spring break.

♦ A Town Hall Meeting on Creating a Satisfactory Retirement will be held on Thursday, February 4th from 9:30 - 11 a.m. in Room 106 of the Morton Community Center in West Lafayette. The meeting will encourage an open dialogue between Purdue researchers and retirees from Purdue and the Greater Lafayette Community about the factors that are most important to a successful retirement. Refreshments will be served.

♦ To celebrate the 105th birthday of Rotary, Applebee's is helping us raise funds to Eradicate Polio by contributing 15% of what we buy on February 22nd. Celebrate with fun, food and fellowship. Give fliers to all of your friends and family. They are good at both Lafayette and West Lafayette Applebee's on the 22nd. Special thanks to JAYNE FEATHERS for making the arrangements.
