PROGRAM:

PRESIDENT ELECT DICK RAHDERT introduced Terry Wilson, CEO of St. Elizabeth Regional Health, who explained the history of the Sisters of St. Francis and their hospital network in Illinois and Indiana. The new hospital is nearly complete. Logistical challenges involved in organizing the moving days - February 25 and 26 - are keeping several bright minds busy. The goal is to have the move be as boring and uninteresting as possible. Dates to remember are the Dedication on Monday, January 25, and the public open house on February 13th. Terry talked about how the existing buildings would be used, noting sadly that the Home Hospital property will be vacated and sold. There was a short discussion of possible health care reform ramifications followed by several good questions.
