♦ PRESIDENT CHRISTA thanked BETTY DOVERSBERGER, CAROL GALBRAITH, JACK KELLEY, MIKE PIGGOTT and JANE TURNER for their help in packing boxes of food at the YWCA. She also thanked the many volunteers who rang bells for Salvation Army on Saturday. A complete report will be available later.

♦ PRESIDENT CHRISTA announced that as of the end of November 29% of our club (62 members) had contributed to Rotary International's Every Rotarian Every Year program. That gives us an average of $39.86 per member toward a goal of $100.00 per member.

♦ TERRY WEST called a meeting of the Ambassadorial Scholar Committee for next Tuesday, December 22 at 11:15 at University Plaza.

♦ JACK KELLEY asked for old eye-glasses and shoes that are still in good condition but no longer needed. Next month he will take them to the orphanage in El Salvador. There will be a collection box at upcoming meetings.

    JANE'S CORNER:
Highlights from the December Board meeting:

♦ Resignations were accepted from Leona Cohen, Dorothy Light and Jeff Weaver

♦ President KECK reviewed in depth the new global and district directive including the lists of district grant committee members, timetable for grant submissions, requirements for grant proposals and sample proposals and budgets. A grants administrator needs to be appointed by early February. KECK and RAHDERT will make announcements to try to fill this position.

♦ There is a new District website.
    Click her to visit it.

♦ JEANNE NORBERG demonstrated a web site content management system. An ad hoc committee of at least five members will be appointed to study the issue and make recommendations.

♦ Ripples will no longer contain a Concerns Section and other personal information.

♦ Our outbound Ambassadorial Scholar for this year decided not to go to Bolivia. There might be a possibility of the runner-up being able to use the scholarship.
